NOVATEC CORPORATION RELEASES 3 NEW SOLUTIONS OF
INTEL® IXP425 NETWORK PROCESSOR

EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGY 2004, (Yokohama, Japan) November 16,
2004 - Novatec, a certified technical representative of Intel Corporation in
Japan*1,
today announced the release of 3 new solutions of Intel® IXP425 Network Processor.
Novatec has collaborated with Digital 5*2, Instant802, and WIS Technologies in the
development of these 3 solutions, DLNA compliant NAS Server, Wireless Access Point
Evaluation Kit, and MPEG 2/4 Encoder Board. These solutions will be exhibited at ET2004
in Yokohama, Japan.
NTWIS425 is a MPEG Encoder Board that is developed as an option board of Novatec's
NTNP425C network processor board. The board is powered by WIS GO7007SB MPEG 2/4 encoder
chip of WIS Technologies, and it may be used in applications such as networked security
camera, STB (set top box), IP video phone, etc. |

DLNA compliant NAS server is powered by Digital 5's
middleware which is compliant to industry standards such as UPnP, NMPR, and DLNA.
Digital 5's DTCP-IP link protection technology enables secure distribution of audio,
video, and photo contents throughout the connected home. *2
These 3 new solutions have been exhibited in the Intel booth at Embedded
Technology 2004 held at Pacifico Yokohama from November 17th to 19th.
